I say this every year, but it is absolutely unbelievable how fast the year's gone by.
2009 will be remembered as one of the best :)
Finally the last year of high school and the end of VCE. Such a relief! Even now looking back after having finished it about a month and a half ago only the positives really stand out. There were negatives. All the hours studying, all the stress, all the outings and things I had to sacrifice. However it was all worth it in the end :)
I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT for 2010 (excuse the capitals)
It is lining up to be a fantastic year already. I am really looking forward to turning 18, starting uni and a whole tonne of other things.
Wishing you all the best for the upcoming year!
Hopefully 2010 will be a great year for this little blog and it will find some more readers! Btw, please feel free to follow this blog! It makes me sad to see zero followers lol
Take care,
N.

Sherlock Holmes was terrific!
I'm happy to report that I LOVED Sherlock Holmes! It was fantastic! I didn't really go in with set expectations but I was hoping it would be entertaining and clever. I thought it ticked all the boxes! I've read some of the short stories and plan to make my way through the rest soon.
Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were terrific. I think they really worked well together!
On a more frustrating note, my iphone is still broken. I got the sim card replaced but now it refuses to sync so it's off to the apple store!
Hope everyone is well!

A Colbert Christmas + Boxing Day!
I LOVE this DVD so much!
Lately I've watched it around 3 times, I'm actually watching it right now.
I wanted to post a pic of my dvd but my iphone is being a MAJOR pain and not recognising the sim card :( and it's too much hassle to grab the other camera.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!
I've had a fantastic one :)
I ended up going to the Boxing Day sales at Chadstone today and what a NIGHTMARE =/. It was alright at the start but the crowds soon got insane so we headed home. Usually I can't get enough of shops but sometimes it's just too much. A bunch of things I wanted weren't available so that was frustrating.
I ended up getting three books: 2 orange penguin classics and a hardcover penguin so it wasn't a complete bust.
Also got some clothes!
I really wanted to go see Sherlock Holmes but we had plans already. So that's on the agenda for tomorrow :D
I'll be back soon with hopefully a picture post! :)
Take care,
N.

Sherlock Holmes
I cannot wait to see this! So many (what looks like) good movies are coming out on Boxing Day!
I really hope it's not a let down. Although regardless it looks like it will be entertaining.
Another Boxing Day movie I am really looking forward to is Alvin and the Chipmunks too. Usually not my sort of film but I quite enjoyed the first one. And those Chipmunks are absolutely adorable!
I've already seen Bright Star so that's one Boxing Day release less. I wouldn't mind seeing Nowhere Boy and The French Kissers.
So many movies, so little time!

Things
From the family on Monday :)
One of my all time favourite books!
This ad is stunning.
My collection of hardback Penguin Classics so far.
Degraves St Facing Flinders Station
The view from one of the floors of David Jones. This photo was the result of boredom while Mum was trying stuff on.

Apologies for the lack of real posts this week. Been busy with various things including a Melb Uni celebration evening for this program I was part of. I've also been watching a lot of movies in preparation for awards season. I love the Golden Globes, SAGs and Oscars!
It's disappointing that Lost has been overlooked for Best Drama though.
So far out of all the movies I've seen An Education and Inglourious Basterds have been my favourites. I've never been a big fan of Quentin Tarantino but now I'm really keen to check out his older films!
How fantastic was Christoph Waltz in IngloriousBasterds ! I hope he sweeps the awards this season.
I hope to be back with more exciting posts soon!
Take Care,
N.

Life Post VCE!!
And so finally at 7am this morning, the terror which was VCE became a part of my past. I have been dreaming of this day for years! I can't put into words the relief I am feeling right now!
Although it is combined with exhaustion from staying up until 3am watching Cougar Town (don't ask me why....) and Aladdin! I only managed about an hour or two of sleep as well. =/
All the hard work and success of the past years has payed off and I did even better than I hoped to! I already have a scholarship and guaranteed place in the course I have been wanting to do as well :D
I am so lucky to have such an amazing and supportive family and such wonderful friends :D Thank-you all for everything!
So excited for the future!

Week In Pictures
Unfortunately I haven't had much time to post so I thought instead of doing a boring long rambling post on what I've been up to, I'd do a picture post to give a bit of insight into what I've been up to!
Feel free to email me or comment any thoughts/suggestions you have for the blog!

Where we went for dinner on Sunday Night!
Swings in the children's playground.
The monkey bars/ rope climbing thing. It's not visible in the photo but the top two rungs were broken! Not very child friendly!
I love coffee much more than I probably should!
Badly taken photo on the iphone in cinema nova. I went there on Wednesday with a friend to see An Education. It was a fantastic film!
Dymocks on Collins St. I adore this bookstore! Notice the Olivia display up the top? She is the star of the 2009 Myer windows. I have to say, although I do not fit the age group to which she is meant to appeal, I think she is awesome!
Last week I finished The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. It was a terrific book. Although I had no idea what to read next. So all these books are currently sitting on my bed side table.
Sorry, not sure how to rotate pictures yet! =/
I've settled on Sherlock Holmes and I am really enjoying it. I can't wait for the movie! I hope it's good!
Take care!
More to come soon!
